I will ask two questions: what exactly can I buy for 1 £? Do I tend towards meaningless consumption when I buy as many items as possible for £1?
I print these items in a flat scan on the same £1 worth of photographic material. The image is a "document" that reproduces and fictionalises the real scene, corresponds to a material output of my behavioural labour (consumption) and, as a "trace", "delays" the chronology of the "real performance" of reality.
The flattening of the image medium overlaps the value of the commodity, creating a new 'scene'. It isolates the viewer from the distance of interpreting reality.
