COMMON PEOPLE

An Exhibition of Fine Art at St Saviour’s, Pimlico

2023.2

Common People is the third exhibition organised by Arts Chaplaincy Projects at St Saviour’s, Pimlico, with this year’s show including work by artists who are members of the congregation as well as those studying on the Chelsea MAFA programme. The developing relationship between the college and the church is reflected in the exhibition’s title, Common People, which also refers to the Common Worship liturgy that informs the daily life of the church, as well as Pulp’s Brit-pop anthem, about a relationship between ‘home’ and international art students.

With thanks to the artists, Fr Matthew and everyone at St Saviour’s Church, Ian Monroe and colleagues at Chelsea College, and special thanks to UAL Camberwell Photographic Resource Centre.
