Artists Yuyue and Jiadi present an outdoor double exhibition entitled DODO at the Battersea Park Trim Trail.

DODO, in modern encyclopedic terms, refers to an extinct flightless bird, and also means crazy, or weird. The etymology of the word is unknown, but it was given an absurd twist by the creation of a satirical humor magazine of the same name by cadets of the United States Air Force Academy in 1957. With this name the artist attempts to break the conventional logic of objects in natural space in the exhibition, using the ready-made products of modern industrial civilization as the grotesque element "DODO", combining natural objects intervening in the park environment to build a new scene of absurdity and humor.

In the park, the artist's works are set up in the park's fitness facilities and on the lawn, breaking with conventional perceptions. Depending on the material, texture, and sculptural context, a specific location is chosen to match each work, allowing it to create new relationships and narratives with these facilities, areas, and natural objects.

The vocalization of the artist's work is hopefully based on people's behavior, so these facilities and areas remain functional while being intervened in: people can keep moving and entertained in the fresh air, the grass, the sand, the rocks, and the animals. When the artworks are dismantled, they not only provide a curious and enjoyable viewing experience but also interact with the 'audience' on site. People may not intend to 'visit the exhibition', but may be surprised to be passively involved in a temporary exhibition: children swinging under Yuyue's work; men crossing Yuyue's arrows to continue their exercise; women strolling in the bar with Jiadi's lemon sculptures; little girls playing with Jiadi's " BIN" and "BALL", and reinvent themselves in new works. The work of both artists was integrated into the scene in new ways, and like "DODO", spoke in their unique language.
