The index finger is the externalization of my subjective consciousness, which points to my choices and judgments about the outside world. I use this same materialized product of consciousness as a master copy that I keep reproducing. The mold is the cause of the result, but it comes with its temporal changes, constantly shrinking and deforming, and also leading to different variations of the same indexical finger within the process of remaking. The reality is worn away in the temporal act, leaving a 'trace' as a 'document' that is fiction based on reality. The 'document' is no longer a flattened piece of information, but a three-dimensional and visible presence, translating the reality of the act that took place.
