SIDE BY SIDE

On November 28, 2022, the "Side By Side" Chelsea MA Fine Art Group Show opened at Cookhouse Gallery.

This is our first group exhibition at Cookhouse Gallery. The exhibition is based around the theme 'Side by Side', representing a state of mind in our group work and the diverse and intrinsically connected character of our final works.

The works in the exhibition take a variety of forms, including video, painting, installation and sculpture. The works in general are intrinsic to the artists' exploration of 'boundaries', including the physical, the political, the real and the fictional, and present their own perspectives and attitudes through different forms of expression in the exhibition.

In this exhibition, my work is based on the method of "reality-based fiction", in which acts of reproduction, artificial traces, means of consumption, and intervention of others are recorded and used as "documents" in different material media, the intention is to create a 'fictional' part of the real environment through the 'document' and to guide the viewer to feel the 'real' part in the 'fiction'.
